Detroit is America's worst big city to live in, report says | MLive.com
DETROIT - Another day, another study damning Detroit. 
The Motor City is the worst city to live in the United States, according to Wallethub
Image result for Old News MemeAccording to a study released by the personal finance website on July 24, the Motor City is ranked No. 62 out of the 62 largest cities in America analyzed.
Wallethub analysts compared the cities based on 50 key indicators of attractiveness including quality of the public-school system, job opportunities and median annual property taxes.
Detroit, which also finished poorly in recent Wallethub studies analyzing stress and the competency of city leaders, received a cumulative score of 35.53, more than 6 points behind Memphis, the second-worst ranked city.
Detroit ranked no higher than 40th in any of the key categories. 
Quality of life was the category in which it received the highest ranking.

The data crunch by 24/7 Wall Street, a notable financial news and opinion company, was not kind to Michigan.


The Motor City was 62nd in economy, 61st in safety, 56th in education and health and 47th in affordability. Detroit is first in highest percent of population living below poverty level and lowest income growth, according to the study.
It also ranked poorly in fewest coffee shops per capita and crime rate."
